THERE IS A LONG TERM FALLACY IN THE BELOW APPROACH - BUT, IT SHOULD HAVE AN IMPACT ON THE SHORT

AND INTERMEDIATE TERM !

ANYWAY - IT WILL MAKE US ALL FEEL GOOD !

FINALLY - THERE WAS A VIDEO OF THE CITGO 'DICTATOR' THAT IMPLIED AND BASICALLY SAID HE WOULD

'BREAK' THIS COUNTRY THROUGH GAS PRICES ! AS THE OPEC GAS COUNTRIES SET GAS PRICES HIGHER AND

HIGHER - HE MAY BE RIGHT.WHERE TO BUY YOUR USA-GAS, THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT TO KNOW. READ ON--
Gas rationing in the 80's worked even though we grumbled about it.
It might even be good for us!

The Saudis are boycotting American goods.

We should return the favor.

An interesting thought is to boycott their GAS.
Every time you fill up the car, you can avoid putting more money into the coffers of Saudi

Arabia. Just buy from gas companies that don't import their oil from the Saudis. Nothing is more frustrating than the feeling that every time I fill-up the tank, I am sending

my money to people who are trying to kill me, my family, and my friends.

I thought it might be interesting for you to know which oil companies are the best to buy gas

from and which major companies import Middle Eastern oil.

These companies import Middle Eastern oil:

Shell..................205,742,000 barrels
Chevron/Texaco.........144,332,000 barrels
Exxon /Mobil...........130,082,000 barrels
Marathon/Speedway......117,740,000 barrels
Amoco..................62,231,000 barrels

Citgo Gas comes from South America , from a Dictator who hates Americans.
Do the math at $30/barrel, these imports amount to over $18 BILLION! (Oil is now over $130 a barrel)

Here are some large companies that
DO NOT import Middle Eastern oil:

Sunoco...............0 barrels
Conoco...............0 barrels
Sinclair.............0 barrels
BP/Phillips..........0 barrels
Hess.................0 barrels
ARC0. ...............0 barrels
Also: Pilot, Flying J, Love's, RaceTrac, Valero

All of this information is available from the Department of Energy
and each is required to state where they get their oil and how much
they are importing.

But to have an impact, we need to reach literally millions of gas buyers.

Interesting, considering that the station I go to all the time dropped from $3.82 on Fri (5/16) to $3.79 on Tues (5/20). I guess if it's not bad news it's not worth reporting?

If you don't ever accept responsibility for your problems then you are giving your power away to everyone else. Speculating on who is to blame: media, Bush, environmentalists, speculators, etc is not doing you any good. There are lots of ways to save on gas that are easily within most people's grasp.

Actually, oil is purposely priced in dollars, so that oil-producing nations can buy our national debt. The price of oil is going to keep going the more inflation keeps going up. The 'official' inflation numbers are massaged; inflation is actually a lot higher, maybe 10-14% (instead of the official 3% number) if you de-massage the numbers. This is closer to the late 1970's/early 1980's.

The hidden message: our dollars buy less. We are all that much more poorer, in real purchasing power. But if the oil exporting countries don't buy our treasuries, we'd be a lot more poor a lot quicker. Catch-22.

Historically, currencies that go fiat (no longer backed by anything real, like gold or silver) usually devalue so much that the civilization that is based on that currency goes belly-up in about 60 years. We've been off the gold standard for 70 years now. There's a hidden agenda to collapse the US Dollar to make way for the North American Union's 'Amero.' And the price of Oil is the sledge hammer.

EXTREMESNOW; And the more who say it the more likely it will happen! The news media revel in the problem, it sells news papers the columnists fill their panic space in the daily papers and the pundits get more than their 15 minutes of fame pouring out predictions of doom and gloom.

And who wins, the oilbarons renovate their palaces, the speculators make more money, the politicians have new promises to make but do little more then talk and our regular budgets shrink !

However, we do have some fun, we can vote some of them out if we can get enough anger and get out to vote when the time comes.

We should feel better that the average is close to what we pay? *NOT*

Time for the White House Idiot and his puppeteer DickieBoy to admit we are in a recession, to cooperate with Congress and demand automobiles sold in the US get 35 MPG or you can't sell them (Even SUVs and light duty Pickups), and fund alternative fuel research.

Sadly, every drop we save and don't use goes to a developing economy like India and China, so even though we reduce our demand, the world is taking up the slack which keeps prices high... we need something other than fossil fuels to run the country on!

Please Read John Hofmeister, who is the CEO of Shell Oil Company in front of Congress. He spells out the true reason for our oil problems.

HOFMEISTER: In the United States, access to our own oil and gas resources has been limited for the last 30 years, prohibiting companies such as Shell from exploring and developing resources for the benefit of the American people. It is not a free market. According to the Department of the Interior, 62% of all on-shore federal lands are off limits to oil and gas developments, with restrictions applying to 92% of all federal lands. The Argonne National Laboratory did a report in 2004 that identified 40 specific federal policy areas that halt, limit, delay, or restrict natural gas projects. The problem of access can be solved in this country by the same government that has prohibited it. Congress could have chose to lift some or all of the current restrictions on exploration and production of oil and gas. Congress could provide national policy to reverse the persistent decline of domestically secure natural resource development.

There is simply no way to keep up -- let alone get ahead of demand -- except by producing more oil and building more refining capacity. That's because of the makeup of the barrel of crude. Only a third to a half of a barrel of crude oil can be used to make these products. We can't use more than half of a barrel of oil to make diesel and aviation fuel. To meet this demand we need more capacity. So we need policies that enable both more crude supply and more refining. Higher taxes would only serve to diminish the expansion capacity of this critical capital investment. I urge you on behalf of American consumers to resist such punitive policies.
