We have seen regular gas prices from 3.35 to 3.48 around the Dallas Ft. Worth metroplex area today. Still think the price of gas is way too high and the ones to blame are the speculators, a.k.a. the hedge funds and Wall Street investors, who do their very best to manipulate the price of gasoline in their favor and not to the best interest of the consummers.
The key is to not let any speculators buy or sell futures contracts for crude oil, natural gas or any product refined from either crude oil or natural gas.

Nice for those that have the benefit. Not so nice for the last tank I got at $4.81/gal for premium.

Unfortunately, my next driving destination is Michigan. Will fill up in Texas, Oklahoma and Missouri but don't think I will be able to make it all the way to Michigan and back on Missouri gas. At least I will plan it so I avoid having to buy gas in the Chicago area.

If the politicians can get the idiots in the Liberal states to suck up $4/gal gas then they can get the rest of the country to accept it, too.

I worked for oil companies before and after Wall Street and the hedge funds were allowed to play in the market through futures. Before gasoline prices might move 2 or 3 cents a month as refiners revised their postings. Now it is 2 or 3 cents in a minute. NG prices were redetermined under contracts once a year.
Now look at the mess we have when government permitted Wall Street to begin to play the market. If you want to blame some one blame the right persons. RR and Wall Street greed.

The price difference in a gallon of gasoline between a refinery gate on the Gulf and a mid-Atlantic terminal in NO WAY equates to pipeline or ship transportation costs. It would commonly be called "manipulation".

Unless domestic inventories of refined oil products are replentished, pump prices will continue to rise and equalize everywhere.
