Chicago's gas prices top nation
Tuesday, May 20, 2008
The Chicago Tribune -- Guess who's paying the most for gas in the nation? You are.

Chicagoans are paying an average $4.07 a gallon for gasoline, good enough for topping the notorious list of the highest gas prices in the country. Long Island residents are also paying about $4 a gallon—making it the only other large metropolitan area to hit the $4-a-gallon mark for regular gas, according to the Lundberg Survey of 7,000 service stations nationwide.

Chicago's place at the top of the list of the highest gas prices in the nation comes as oil prices rose again Monday.

Redding in Northern California today - $4.15 - $4.35 - $4.45 and $5.10 - isn't that higher than Chicago?

now finally that Americans feel the crunch, they can stop making ridicule out of our situation. We are $0.25 away from $5/gallon, close to alota European countries, its $4.759 gallon here in Calgary and its not over yet, we are screwed and yea its in USD, not in CAD.

We must develop our own resources, and not be at the feet of rogue nations that set un-reasonable demands.

I've noticed the prices going back down. From >$4.00/gallon to ~$3.90'ish in the northern subs of Chicago.
